John Scully

John Scully, Ph.D., is Co-founder and Board Member of Ecliptic Enterprises, a Pasadena, California, based imaging and space avionics systems provider for rockets, spacecraft and missiles.  He served as CFO from the company’s founding in 2001 to 2017 and served as CEO from 2011 to 2013.

Since 2007, John has also served as a Practitioner Lecturer of Accounting and Finance with Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, where he primarily teaches accounting, finance and business ethics for the university’s EMBA and Presidents and Key Executives MBA Programs.  He has also taught courses at Penn State University and Temple University.

Previously John served as Corporate Controller with Aon Consulting (a human resources and employee benefits consulting organization) and as Group Controller and Manager of Corporate Audit with Roy F. Weston, Inc. (later renamed Weston Solutions, an environmental engineering and consulting organization).  Earlier he held a variety of positions in DuPont’s finance department.

John is a licensed Pennsylvania CPA and he is a member of the AICPA, Carolina Angels Network (CAN) and the Alliance of Mergers & Acquisitions Advisors (AM&AA).  He resides in both Pasadena, California, and Cary, North Carolina.
