Start-ups and serial entrepreneurs don’t seek us out for a curated coffee bar or vintage arcade games. They come for results.

We’re a private, non-profit so everything we make goes right back into developing programs and services to help you succeed. Our mission is not to make a profit from our residents, but to help grow and diversify the North Carolina economy.

First Flight is located in the heart of North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park, home to a diverse community of technology-driven companies of all sizes, leading academic institutions, highly educated workers and a host of supporting services.

 

Office & Lab Space In An Entrepreneurial Community

First Flight provides offices and labs in an environment supported by advice, shared services, and networking with like-minded innovators. First Flight accommodates 30-40 early stage science-focused businesses—all working towards the goal of graduating from the facility within 3-5 years to commercialization success.

Beyond the physical space, programs, and networking with other innovators, First Flight provides a place to experience day-in, day-out roller coaster in the life of an entrepreneur, whether a cup of coffee to drive through the low moments or a glass of champagne to celebrate when grant funding arrives.
