Sara Beckloff is a visionary executive leader with a proven track record of driving transformative change and operational excellence across diverse industries, including life science, biotechnology and biopharma. With over 15 years of experience, Sara specializes in laboratory and site development, strategy formulation, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance.
Throughout her career, Sara has consistently delivered outstanding results by implementing lean workflows, optimizing processes, and ensuring regulatory adherence to ISO, OSHA, EPA, FDA, CAP/CLIA and NYS Standards. Her strategic approach to leadership has enabled organizations to achieve scalability, business development opportunities, and sustained growth.
As the CEO of Omics Lab Solutions, based in Raleigh, NC, Sara advises clients on establishing clinical labs from inception to accreditation, optimizing workflows, and implementing quality programs. Her expertise lies in facilitating CAP, CLIA, NYS, ISO 15189, ISO 17025 and ISO 13485 accreditation processes.
During her tenure as Vice President of Laboratory Operations at Biobot Analytics in Cambridge, MA, Sara played a pivotal role in tackling public health challenges such as the opioid crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic. She led the development and implementation of laboratory operations and R&D strategies, resulting in new assay launches, significant cost savings and operational efficiencies. Sara's leadership enabled the scaling of assays and the expansion of laboratory capabilities both domestically and internationally.
Previously, as Site Head and Senior Director of Laboratory Operations at Foundation Medicine in Research Triangle Park, NC, Sara established a center of excellence for tissue-based testing while fostering an inclusive culture. She oversaw the build-out of a clinical laboratory for Next-Generation Sequencing and Immunohistology Chemistry assays, ensuring compliance with FDA, CAP, CLIA, NYS, ISO15189, and ISO13485 standards. Sara's strategic initiatives led to substantial revenue growth and recognition as a Best Place to Work by the Triangle Business Journal.
Before joining Foundation Medicine, Sara held leadership roles at the State Laboratory of Public Health in North Carolina and the State of Michigan Bureau of Laboratories, where she managed complex laboratory operations and spearheaded initiatives to expand testing capabilities and enhance public health surveillance in collaboration with federal partners.
