SEMINAR SERIES HELD JAN 12, 19 & 26TH

Audience: Entrepreneurs, researchers, inventors and dreamers who have a business idea they want to pursue.

Format: Each workshop has pre-recorded modules for viewing prior to each Seminar. Then on each day there will be discussion, exchange and Q&A.

Session 1: Innovation Basics & Creative Problem Solving

We will explore critical observation to identify the problem to be solved and discover what people will value, as well as the importance of persistence and resourcefulness in innovation. This session will include analysis and discussion of a case study.  

Session 2: Opportunity Evaluation

We will explore commercialization and entrepreneurship, with particular emphasis on evaluating and validating the market opportunity, including identifying a sustainable competitive advantage and promoting and selling an innovation. This session will include a discussion of participants’ own innovations and technologies.

Session 3: Strategy & Business Plan

We will explore testing assumptions to de-risk early stage ventures, as well as development of a business model highlighting a sustainable competitive advantage and a fundable plan with milestones. This session will include a discussion of strategy and next steps for participants’ projects.
