ECU’s Brody School of Medicine is recognized nationally for producing primary care physicians, cardiovascular research, advanced robotic surgery, as well as obesity and diabetes breakthroughs. It’s business school has the largest student enrollment in North Carolina and its School of Nursing and College of Education produce more nursing and education professionals than any 4-year North Carolina university. Its award-winning school of dental medicine closes the oral health disparities gap by providing patient services statewide through its 8-community service-learning centers. ECU is home to the largest studio art program in the state; is globally recognized for its academic underwater archaeology program; and enjoys a supportive relationship with the U.S. military services.
