Hypocore is an IV fluid chiller designed to induce therapeutic hypothermia – used in cardiac arrest, stroke, heat stroke, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury patients to slow metabolism and allow first responders valuable time to seek for additional treatment.

What’s is the firm’s biggest accomplishment in the past 12 months? Completing the design of our first product, Hypocore, an IV fluid chiller designed to induce therapeutic hypothermia, which is used in cardiac arrest, stroke, heat stroke, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury patients to slow metabolism and allow time for additional treatment. Hypocore will give medics and other first responders a powerful tool to initiate therapeutic hypothermia within minutes of arrival on scene. Please explain the driving forces of your firm’s growth in the past year. We’ve had incredible support behind Hypocore. Our investors have repeatedly shown they believe in us and in the opportunity to help cardiac arrest patients. Our team is united behind a common goal of seeing Hypocore reach the market and start making a real difference in patients’ lives.
Please complete the following statement: Since its inception, the firm is most proud of … Working together to develop Hypocore on schedule and under budget. I think it’s pretty incredible the leaps and bounds we’ve made with such a small team. We started with nothing but an idea, and have been able to work through 12 iterations to lock the Hypocore design and now working on our FDA submission.
What upcoming business initiative or company milestone are you most looking forward to in 2015? We are excited about submitting our Hypocore application to the FDA and preparing for our U.S. launch. Ultimately, we’ve been working for the past two years to get to this point and we can’t wait until we start seeing Hypocore being used by medics. That will be a really exciting day!
