RTP, N.C. – Oct. 13, 2014 – First Flight Venture Center (FFVC) recently hosted Swedish Intellectual Property firm AWAPatent for a presentation on Intellectual Property law for early-stage companies.

The Stockholm-based firm discussed current progress on the European unitary patent law, advising First Flight resident companies on how they should proceed in regards to unitary filings and Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) filings while the full legal status of the unitary law is fleshed out over the next two years.

First Flight residents were also able to participate in a Q&A session with AWAPatent, with the firm making individual recommendations to FFVC companies following the presentation.
