Executive Service Corp of the Greater Triangle (ESC)
The Executive Service Corps of the Greater Triangle has been helping nonprofits in the Research Triangle area since 1987. Originally founded as the International Executive Service Corps in 1966 by David Rockefeller, ESC recruited retired corporate executives to work overseas on assignments in developing countries. A decade later, this concept was reshaped to permit retired executives to use their managerial skills on behalf of American nonprofit agencies.
ESC of the Greater Triangle is one of approximately 27 similar agencies that are affiliated with the Executive Service Corps Affiliate Network. First Flight Venture Center, a nonprofit as well, has been a partner of ESC for many years offering the use of its facility to ESC. In addition, First Flight clients have benefitted from working with ESC executives over the years.
