Palmetto Biomedical is a medical device design & consulting firm. Palmetto was founded
in 2007 by Dr. Lawrence M. Boyd, an international leader in orthopaedic medical device
innovation. We provide a wide array of design and consulting services in areas such as product
development, mechanical testing, intellectual property assessment, business development and
technology evaluation. In addition, we are currently developing medical devices for a variety of
orthopaedic and neurosurgical applications, including fracture fixation, knee arthroscopy, joint
arthroplasty and pain management.
