RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. (May 16, 2016) – First Flight Venture Center (FFVC), a science and technology incubator for entrepreneurs in North Carolina, would like to recognize and congratulate one of its own, Fred Hutchison, founder and attorney at Hutchison PPLC and FFVC Board Member. Hutchison, along with 3 other inductees received more than 80 percent of the eight-member selection committees’ votes, according to a statement from CED.

“Fred has served on FFVC’s board over the years as a past chairman and key contributor in defining the incubator’s role in the rapidly evolving startup technology community. I have had the pleasure of working with Fred’s guidance support and have seen firsthand his tremendous impact on this ecosystem over the last 30 years. We congratulate him on this well deserved honor from CED.” explained Andrew Schwab, President, First Flight Venture Center.

“I served on the CED Board with Fred and now on the First Flight Venture Center Board. He has been a mainstay of the entrepreneurial community for more than 30 years. There are many companies and individuals that would not be where they are but for Fred’s help.” said Mary Musacchia, Chair First Flight Board of Directors.

CED Founders Day celebration will take place at the Frontier in Research Triangle Park at 5:00 p.m. on May 17th, 2016.
